L’histoire de John Eropkin est touchante : elle démontre que la culture n’a pas de frontières et que les oeuvres de Spiaggia se vendent également aux Etats-Unis d’Amérique !

Le 27 Mars 2006, je reçois un e-mail en anglais :

Josette,  I found a website that displayed a t-shirt that was named « Bull on Cross of the Camargue »   My question is,  is that t-shirt available and if so,  what would the cost be for an X-Large shipped to California, USA postal code 93720.
If needed,  I am willing to provide more information.  as a note, I will be in Paris 18 – 20 June, 2006…  would it be possible to have mailed to my Hotel if available?
I have attempted to translate this mail to French… please excuse me if it is not good French.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could respond.

Après quelques échanges de mail en anglais, John nous passe commande d’un tee-shirt « Taureau sur Croix de Camargue », qui est prêt quelques jours plus tard.

En Juin 2006, à l’occasion de mes déplacements réguliers par Paris, je me rends au comptoir de l’hôtel où John réside, et je remets à la réception le tee-shirt commandé.

Un mois plus tard, John, de retour aux USA, nous adresse cette photo prise en compagnie du chanteur Canut Reyes des Gipsy Kings, avec le commentaire suivant :

Florian,   I wish to thank you so much for all the work you have done to provide the t-shirt.  The fit is good and it is perfect.   As I had perviously stated,  we did go to a Gipsy Kings concert near our home last week and we were able to meet Canut and Nicolas.  I have attached a photo of Canut and me.  Nicolas was suprised to see the t-shirt as it contained the « Croix de Camargue » was excited to see a symbol of his home and he briefly discussed the history of the cross.Hopefully next summer we can visit the South of France for a couple of days, meet you and the artist and perhaps share a bottle of wine.   I will email you in the future if that will happen.Again,  thank you for all your efforts.
