Chevaux de Camargue

Acrylic on canvas, 1999, 1P format (size 22 x 14 cm), framed

The chest permanently in the water, amid stormy sky when clouds are broken down by the mistral fray, the Camargue horse survives grazing on reeds and a few other plants that are resistant to salt water that permeates the soil.

Penned in the most unforgiving wilderness of the Rhone Delta, the most profitable land being cultivated rice, it lives in small herds and breeds, man acts only to mark the iron and pick subjects that budburst and resell.

Régate

Acrylic on canvas, 73 × 92 cm (30F), 1995

Confrontation of two elements: air, sky, wind, and water, waves, currents.

Elements that deploy their forces capricious and face one to another ... and dangerously fun of it all?

A sleek hull and large wing deployed as the gulls who play the bad weather.
